CONVERSATION

This video shows me in conversation with the dudes in the photo
above. Complete with an unsolicited Three Stooges reference. And,
believe me, this is only one small piece of the time I spent shooting
the shit with them…..

Swell turnout for Remi Thériault’s one nite exhibition of Polaroids
at Gallery La Petite Mort.

Remi was, as usual, stylin’, despite the velcro cast on his broken
ankle. Lots of snaps to look at, too…..

And…..I’m pleased to announce yours truly is a big winner in the
WIN-INITIATIVE 10BEST10 International Photography Contest.

Run in conjunction with 10 of the koolest magazines on the planet,
in this contest you actually win a thing you can hold (as opposed to
most foto contests, where you really only win the ego-boost of peer
acceptance).

In this case I get a “brand new” SONY a550L camera and a bunch of
other stuff. I also get to go to Montreal and shoot a waykool project
for Guerilla Magazine.

Finally, PUSH/PULL, the magazine “created, imagined and produced”
by the 3rd year students at SPAO had it’s official release last nite.

Once again a big crowd was on hand at La Petite Mort, which is a hub
for arts parties in Ottawa. BIG UP to Guy, the gallery director, for
creating and imagining such a place.
