THE JURY IS IN…..

Award season in the photo biz in drawing to a close. Applied Arts, PDN and
American Photography 24 are the three I entered this year. I submitted just about
the same work to all three.
The juries have met and the results are in.
I’m a 2-time loser but the one I really wanted came through. [...]

Today drool brings you it’s first ever interview.
I present to you Clint McLean: photographer, photo editor, teacher and
art director.
His personal work gets shown in galleries, he assigns photographers
(including me) for a bunch of Globe and Mail glossy magazines, he art
directs for some kool rags and he shoots for magazines too. Whew!

I drove Friday night through yet more snow to Patrick Mikhail Gallery
to see an exhibition called SHOWCASE.

There were 10 artists’ exhibiting but I’m only thinking about
4 of them today, the 4 photo-based works. And I’m not thinking
about the breadth and depth of the art exhibited, nor about how
