CREATIVITY + SHOW + TECHNOLOGY
One of my friends told me the other day that my name came up during
a discussion he was having with a bunch of his friends.
The jist of it was something along the lines of “When Tony says he’s going
to do something he just goes out and does it. When we say we’re going to
do something we smoke another doobie and watch more YouTube”.
I must say that there’s nothing like action when you want to get something
done. (But, believe you me when I tell you that I can be a big slug too, nothing
I like better than an afternoon nap.)
Here’s a link (right here) to an old post on Gapingvoid about how to be creative.
Fun reading and maybe, just maybe, inspirational too.
.
And, speaking of creativity…..I went to see the show at La Petite Mort Gallery called
“Lucky Numbers” by Montreal photographer Jules De Niverville. I highly recommend
it……it shows what photography can be and do. Pretty much straight-up documentary
shots but very intimate and put together by a sharp mind.

And, finally this week…….here’s a link to a description of some astounding
new technology called Photosynth. The video’s 7 minutes long and a lot of
the technology shown is pretty amazing but if you hang in until the end your
mind will be truly blown.
I’m off to Winnipeg (and Toronto and Guelph) starting tomorrow. (Back
Wednesday nite!). I plan on shooting some personal P+S documents of
the trip. Maybe next week’s post will be a bit more personal, a bit less
link juice. Who knows?
The future is unwritten.
