WORKIN’ + PETER HINTON
WORKIN’
Went a lot of places this week…..shot a bunch of people.
Here are a few behind the scenes pix…..

PETER HINTON
Peter Hinton is the director of English Theatre at the National Arts Centre.
I was asked to do a portrait of him.
My initial concept was to take him out on the street, find 5 or 6 passers-by
and then get him to block (arrange) these people into some kind of dramatic
scenario. Seemed right since that’s certainly an element of what he does:
create drama and tension thru the arrangement of bodies.
Turns out he was too busy for that, and just not into it. His P.R. person did
tell me that I could shoot him at the N.A.C. and use some of his staff as what
I call “background trash”. But he wouldn’t block them, that’d be up to me.
Okay.

i find the way you “place bodies” to be overdone and quite bland. The first time was cool but now we’ve had enough.
