We all wait.

And, lord knows, there’s lots of waiting at photoshoots.

Sometimes I photograph people as though they are waiting.
Which they are. Waiting. But they’re posing, too.

I suppose there’s really no difference, since posing is a kind
of waiting.

Typically, though, photographers try to downplay the wait.
But there can be, if you ask me, drama in just standing or
sitting around. Especially if you have the luxury of framing it.

Waiting.
